    The panel discussion “Green and Sustainable Furniture” – A New Direction for Vietnam’s Furniture Industry

    On December 6th, 2024, at the Hanoi Museum, the 8th VNIA LINK panel discussion event, themed “Green and Sustainable Furniture,” successfully concluded. The program, organized by the Vietnam Interior Design Association (VNIA) in collaboration with ISN Jutec Co., Ltd., aimed to promote sustainable development trends within the furniture industry and create a platform for exchange and experience sharing among businesses and leading experts in the field.

    The panel discussion was attended by representatives from the Vietnam Interior Design Association, ISN-JUTEC Co., Ltd., the Leadership Board of the Hanoi Museum, as well as architects, designers, experts, businesses, and furniture enthusiasts.

    A highlight of the event was the launching ceremony of two new specialized committees of the Vietnam Interior Design Association: the Construction, M&E & Related Committee and the Trade Committee, marking a new step forward in strengthening the organization’s structure.

    Also within the framework of the program, the Vietnam Interior Design Association held a new member induction ceremony, welcoming individuals and organizations who share a passion and desire to contribute to the industry’s development.

    Continuing the program, guests had the opportunity to listen to insightful presentations from reputable speakers: Architect Takashi Niwa, founder of Takashi Niwa Architects in Vietnam; Mr. Do Huu Nhat Quang, co-founder of GreenViet Green Building Consulting Company; Mr. Nguyen Ha Hung, Director of ISN-JUTEC Co., Ltd.; and Mr. Kyoichi Ushioda, Director of the Keisoudo brand. The speakers provided inspiring perspectives on green furniture trends, sustainable materials, and environmentally friendly solutions in interior design.

    The subsequent open discussion session created a lively atmosphere as attendees posed direct questions to the speakers, revolving around practical issues such as green furniture trends, sustainable materials, and the application of technology in design. The speakers’ responses not only provided in-depth knowledge but also sparked numerous new ideas for the participating businesses and individuals.

    Concluding the program, the Organizing Committee presented flowers to thank the speakers and guests and took commemorative photos with all the delegates. This was also an opportunity for guests to connect, network, and discuss potential collaborations in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

    Following the event, a networking reception was held for everyone to share, connect, and expand their relationships.

    The panel discussion concluded, leaving a lasting impression and marking a significant step forward in promoting green and sustainable furniture trends in Vietnam. Moreover, the event provided an opportunity for experts, businesses, and furniture enthusiasts to meet, interact, network, and collectively build a green, sustainable, and prosperous future for the furniture industry.
